During the next 9 weeks, you will be learning the purchasing and acquisition process,
as practiced by private industry, government, and non-profit institutions. The
course syllabus contains detailed information about the course, scheduled
reading assignments in your text, and other events that you will encounter
along the way. Class notes are posted for each class where they may apply.
These notes supplement and complement your text assignments and contain
specific references to the text where appropriate. Supplemental material is
also included within the course web site. Please visit and review those

about selected course topics. Students are urged to seek and report on current topics
relating to the acquisition process.
